As the 21st President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ®, Mu Xi Omega Chapter, located in the Sophisticated South Eastern Region, I am honored and privileged to welcome you to our chapter’s official website.

Mu Xi Omega Chapter was chartered by fifteen members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ® on December 17, 1978.  Our charter members had a vision to provide Service to all Mankind in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and surrounding communities. Over the past four decades, our chapter membership has multiplied times 10, and the work continues.

We are committed to our sisterhood and providing service under the leadership of our International President, Danette Anthony Reed and her platform, “Soaring to Greater Heights of Service and Sisterhood." In 2022-2026,  Alpha Kappa Alpha women will concentrate our collective service efforts on Strengthening Our Sisterhood while focused on the five other initiatives to: Empower our Families, Build Our Economic Wealth, Enhance Our Environment, Advocate for Social Justice and Uplift Our Local Community.
